Marcia Briggs

Marcia grew up in the Mt. Washington Valley area of New Hampshire. Her mother was a singer who played guitar and other instruments, instilling Marcia’s great love for music at an early age. Taking the advice of her high school music teacher, she started playing acoustic guitar, and performed solo gigs fresh out of high school. She joined her first rock band a short time later, then broadened her musical horizons with country and Celtic bands. One highlight of those formative years was being invited to play at the world renowned Bermuda Folk Club.

“Kevin and I were the headliner (duo) at the Bermuda Folk Club. We performed both his and my original songs. We both had gigs in Bermuda at the time, playing mostly covers. It was pretty funny because I thought we were the opening act and were over-rehearsing. I was surprised and thrilled when he explained we were “it”. He, however, was a nervous wreck. Turned out that we were quite a hit!”

Upon moving to Florida in 1996, she found local success in performing solo folk, rock and Celtic gigs. Her powerful vocal style and commanding stage presence, landed her the lead vocalist position with the Boogiemen, a ten piece rock and soul horn band, from 1997 through 2006.

Wanting to have her own band and musical freedom, she founded and managed the power rocking Adrenaline Junkies, a very popular regional favorite, that thrilled audiences for many years.

Marcia’s love affair with music and performing has only deepened with time. She has continued to sing with various bands and play solo gigs until being asked to join the amazing and exceptionally talented band, STORYLINE!
